    Hello,

I am currently residing in Dublin but strongly considering moving over to London in the new year, around march I reckon.

I will be 27 by then, and looking to experience a new city. My first question is(to anyone who has lived there before):

    Is it reccomended living there?

    And secondly:

Any ideas on good areas to live that aren't too expensive. I would be looking for maybe 100 pound a week rent.

    Cheers!

It all depends what you are going over to experience. I've split my time between Paddington and Camden when I lived there. Camden is brilliant craic but it can get a bit much so I used to fall back onto Paddington to chill out.

London can be a hard place to live, people can be very unfriendly and cliquey. I found that people have their own group of friends and are very reluctant to let anyone else join their group. It can be a very lonely place. I have a friend over there now and she feels the same way about it but I had another friend who lived there for a few months and loved it and wanted to stay.

But I guess it all comes down to luck you could find a great place to live with great housemates and have a brillant time.

The thing I loved about London was there was always something happening, theres so much on whether its gigs, art shows, free events etc. Its hard to be bored with so much happening.

I found living in North/East London (particulary zone 2) to be the best for me as I was close to Camden, Hackey and Shoreditch which are places I socialised in.

This is a really good ads magazine that has loads of rented accomadation:
