    Hi Guys,
a quick question... i shot a gig last night for the first time using RAW files as a means of capturing the photos. They are showing us on my viewfinder (eos 3D) but when i try and capture them on to my PC they dont appear to be on the camera? how can i transfer them from my camera on to my PC? Im using cs2..
    THanks

Make sure you're going into the right folder. If they're showing on the LCD, then they're on the camera. Do you have a CF card reader you can use, rather than connecting the camera directly?

yea, use a card reader and don't go through the camera directly

i aint got a card reader... i shot them on a compact flash card. Is there no other way of getting them off the camera in to photoshop?

Open Windows Explorer. You should see your camera listed as an external device. You should then be able to open the camera (like a hard disk) and see the directories and files.

Then, simply copy/paste the files on to a directory in your PC.

Did you get any sorf of software with your camera? If so you should be able to download the RAW files from your camera to your PC via that software, then you can convert them to JPEG and export them.

(I use the Nikon software that came with my camera to export my RAW files)

what veriosn of Windows are you using?
if its vista then you should have support for RAW format, if XP you may need to download Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer

Check your settings on the mode you shot with and make sure you did actually set it to RAW?

If you update your camera raw plugin herehttp://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html your files should then be recognised
