Lough Key Forest Park? (loughkey.ie) or Carrick on Shannon

Are you talking about nice locations (woods, lakes, etc) or things to do? The Raptor Centre near Ballinacarrow/Ballymote is good, or horseriding (Markree or Island view) are good to fill a day :)
There's also a great walk up a mountain somewhere in Ballygawley - that's very vague I know but someone else might help :o - you take a left near Ballygawley if driving from Sligo.
Or go out towards Enniscrone/Ballina - surfing, fishing, horseriding, walks by river (Ballisadare, small town on the way to Ballina, and Ballina inself)

Suppose this is a bit late to reply, soz. Carrick has all the boating activities, and some good night clubs, but if it's mountains/lakes etc prob not the best.

As I said, a bit late now, but Achill is also good craic (for next time!)

What about Parkes Castle? We always take people there and the tour is fantastic. The boat is there as well for a trip round Lough Gill
