Honeymoon dilemma

    Hey guys,

We are trying to decide where to go for our honeymoon in April next year, we've 3 options: Cape Town, Safari and Mauritius; Thailand (Bangkok & Koh Samui or some other nice island) or Singapore & Bali. The main problem is the weather! I'd love to do South Africa but was told April's cold & rainy and it's not safe there +rain in Mauritius. Could be wet in Thailand as well and same about Bali.... tried 5 different Travel agencies every one's saying different things so who to believe?!? checked on line...doesn't make sense either... Advise needed or any other suggestions would be appreciated!
P.S. don't want to do Caribbean especially after that couple was attacked in Antigua :( which is horrible

Had a similar dilemma when I got married - Africa was top of our list but rainy season was in so that was a no no . Didn't fancy a cruise or a european holiday either .

We ended up opting for Vietnam which was fantastic - weather in Hanoi ( North ) was perfect , 27 C and sunny , weather in Saigon ( South ) was between 33 - 36 C which was a tad warm for us but still lovely . The people and the countryside/beaches were just fantastic . Had an hours rain in just over 3 weeks and nothing but sunshine otherwise .

We travelled very early in April and IIRC rainy season starts in Vietnam in late April / May , I presume Thailand would be similar . We went through trailfinders and found them to be a great source of knowledge .

Check out the travel and holidays forum for ideas as well.

Thailand can get a lot of rain, but sometimes it just means an hour of solid downpour (and I mean solid), and that's it for the day. Also, it may just mean going to a different part then you would at other times of the year.
