Laser Hair Removal?

I have had Laser removal done a couple of times in a beauty salon in Dublin. (I am sorely tempted to name and shame them but I wasnt sure if that was allowed!) but I am still seeing no results, probably because they are not bothered to do it right. I came out of a Laser appointment today with no change. I wasnt expecting miracles but all the hair was still there. (it is on my chin and neck by the way). What is worse is I am going to the Races at the weekend looking like this.:(

So my question is, where have people had it done? I hear Advanced Cosmetic Surgery is good. Can anyone recommend somewhere? I am at the end of my tether with this.

    Thank You!

Urm....it takes about a year to see proper results. They should have explained this to you, about how hair grows in cycles. You can only 'kill' hairs at a certain stage in their growth. That's why you need about 6 treatments, 2 months apart.

    Do your research here.

There are alot of reasons why hair removal wouldn't work.
You might not be a suitable candidate at all.

    1. The hair should have been shaved before your treatment; and
    2. shave the hair for this weekend and then go back to your therapist and get them to teach you about the procedure.

I had IPL done for chin and neck there last year in a salon in my gym..like that it didn't work out and I was plucking inbetween sessions - the WRONG thing to do!!!! I was raging and then I booked into Brown Cow Beauty Salon. They explained everything to me - basically IPL only really works on dark hair and fair skin and you get lazered (it had an ice head on the lazer which made it more comfortable), you have to wait for the hair cycle of usually a month before something will happen. In between sessions you can ONLY shave the area - no plucking, removal creams or tweezing. I know that shaving feels weird but it's the only way.

I have had 3 sessions and my chin is now clear and let me tell you I was like grizzly adams!!!! The consultation was free and the girls are really nice and friendly and informative and you can ring them up to ask questions!!!!!!

    The website is www.browcowireland.com.
