It's been cancelled Noel, honestly. Stop reading this thread now.

I'll be in, Donal, hopefully for a late and successful one.

    any news on this???

I got my stack up to 42K after catching a Jack on a very badly played pair of Jacks V Dara O'Kearneys kings, only to donk it away in fantastic fashion..... sigh, when I play bad poker im atrocious..... double sigh

Dara, being Dara of course worked his stack up brilliantly and was well over 50K when I left. I think 1st prize was 10K or something ridicously good like that over 100 runners....

Suprised they got it finished in one night. Failed in my omaha sat flip so played some cash and had a nice little spin up.

Cracking AA with KK aipf in the first level and someone having folded AK, then knocking out SWAR with AA vs KK. It was destined to be his night from a ways out.

Well done Oz, even if you did try to break my toe.

Not to mention stacking someone with a house when they had the 2nd nut flush. It goes without saying that I ran very well early.

I really do feel badly about that. I hope you are OK, Dom.

Thanks everyone. At the end, it was rather a pushfest. I was lucky to get KK vs AJs and AA vs AJ to get it heads up against Paul (didn't catch his last name, and I haven't seen him before). He had me outchipped about 9:7 and offered an even chop for €8K each. Given that I had about 20 BBs, this seemed like a fine deal to me.

Good luck to everyone next month. I'll be on holidays, so someone else can get some money. :)

Thanks Smurph. In fairness you didn't play it badly: awkward stack sizes and I'd have played AK the same way so the shove was reasonable. Even if you'd flat caled, it was probably all going in on the raggy flop. Suckouts are part of the game, they happen to everyone, and I'd rather someone like yourself was the beneficiary. You were just unlucky after that: kept running into hands it seemed.

Well done to Oz, class act at the final table. I never really got going on the FT: it was already pretty crapshooty by the time we got there with an average M of 6 or 7, and I didn't pick up a single pair or decent ace.

    What time did it finish?

The toe is fine Oz, just slightly sore. As I said, it was only delayed karmic retribution anyhow :)
