Did you ever end up with something that originally turned your stomach when they first appeared off the production line? Or something that was the laughing stock at the time such as a scoda or Lada in the 80ies? But ended up getting one because it was cheap or given away?

I always detested the early Ford Fiesta, hated the sight of them, One day when I was stuck for transport I was offered one of these from a mate for the taking, took the offer . I hated to been seen in it  It’s NCT was short lived and hadn’t a chance of renewal so I ended up donating it to the local fire service for practice after a couple of months. :D

No, but I have a strong stomach. I drive a Kangoo, and up to this year the missus had a Multipla.

I was a "star in a reasonably priced car" for a day once. Got a Suzuki Liana saloon as a courtesy car.

Not too bad really, once you were inside. Just found it difficult to peek out from under the brown paper bag over my head :D

93 K11 Micra - mothers. It feels like a tin can, ready to crumple all around.

The engine nearly dies when you switch on the air-con (which surprisingly works well!).

Ford Scorpio. Hated the headlights and rear when they first came out. Snapped one up for a steal last year. A few welding rods later and plenty of fun to be had!!

a hearse to get something in a shop, car was out of action........ Think it turned other people's stomachs though, if only they knew the coffin in the back was empty

A hearse makes an excellent van for trades men, I.E use an empty coffin as a tool box, You are guaranteed not to have any break from the Tr*******ers, because these guys are very superstitious :D

I always hated Fords and never saw myself driving one, then I got a Focus 3Dr TDCi as a company car for a few years and LOVED it - great handling, pokey enough, decent spec. Was sad to see it go!

Ended up with a Ford Escort van 1.9 Diesel, got it very handy but it soon got the better of me. I.E. it did every thing that they were renound for doing including spitting out the timing belt, clutch and engine mounts!! Gave it away for scrap in the end.

'99 vectra. Hated them with a passion and this one was no different. Bottle green, ex-hackney that i picked up for Fk all. Had it for 2 weeks and sold it back to the guy who sold it to me for the same money, after machine polishing it!!! Not sorry to see that one go back.
Ironically, gave it back cos i was given a 2005 3dr Almera Sport as a comp car and loved it. It was a weapon and with the sports gear, in black, it didn't look too bad.

yes, agreed, saw a resprayed silver hearse driving around last week, a vauxhall Quest 1990 with a ladder on the roof and an interior full of tool
boxes and also featured some recently installed seating at the rear.

Ford Scorpio..... havent seen any of these for a few years:confused:
