    Hi,

I have a Nikon D1 and a D1x, I have a 4gb compact flash card and it does not work in either Nikon, is there a reason for this, the 4gb card works in my Minolta Dimage A1.

have you tried formatting the card in the camera and then trying it?

ye, tried that as soon as I noticed the problem, just wondering if the D1 & D1x has a limit to the card size, 2gb works

I am pretty sure the D1 and D1x dont support anything bigger then 2 gb.

I think you may be right. I did see that they recommended a 512K CF Card or a 1Gb Microdrive. They were pretty big storage back in 2001 & not cheap. I recall not being able to afford 256Kb card back then & being thrilled with a 128Kb. How times have changed.
