Desperately seeking a priest

    Hi

Can anyone PM me the names of priests who might be willing to perform a ceremony (a nixer so to speak) in Dublin city. We are not getting married in either home parish as we have lived away from home for over 10 years and lived in Dublin for 7+ years. I have done things a bit a*** about face - we have a date with the register in the second week of August and hope to get married in late November so ideally i would need to confirm a priest in the next week. It is a case of last minute.com but any help or advice would be appreciated.

Someone suggested contacting a religious order who are not associated with a particular church and i am wondering if anyone has any experience of this.

Don't know if it's specifically a Catholic ceremony you're looking. If you're not, I can recommend the celebrants in the Unitarian Church on Stephen's Green. They welcome people of all religions and even include pieces of all religions in their services.

I'm getting married next week and they're performing the ceremony which is spiritual and touching but not overly holy. They are also on the list of solemnisers which means that you don't have to have a civil marraige if you don't want.
