not sure if this is the right place for this question but if an off licence is trading with a publicans license does that mean it is allowed to stay open normal pub hours and the new law that came in today doesnt affect them?

Think they will have to have two seperate licenses, one for off sales and another for being a pub meaning they would not be able to sell take outs after 10pm.

The pubs aren't allowed sell take-away after that time either, so the same law applies for both licenses,

I heard on Matt Cooper's show that some publican is offering to sell cans before 10PM, but you can collect them at closing.

That would be a typical loop hole that wont last because it would be open for abuse. They would have to provide a till receipt with a pre 10PM time on it.
