    Hey ...

    Been googling this but can't get much information on it. Was out in the Ballymount Cover Girl Studios yesterday with the family getting family portraits done and was thinking I'd like to get one done with friends around Christmas. A kind of fun, modern style, if ya know what I mean. Does anyone know any where else that does this ??? I know of CoverGirl and Cover Shots on Grafton Street apparantly too.

    Thanks.

    You'll find most photographers do it, but probably won't have a 'section' for it in their portfolio - You might be best off just asking!

    Be sure to ask for examples too, just to make sure it's the style you're thinking of!

    Just a wee word of general caution as you approach such a subject;

    I guess my comment that may be of use in your search is when dealing with a company / photographer make sure to dig deep as to understand their full cost. Have a sample package in mind; i.e. if you are a group of 4 friends; then you'll probably want something like 4 8x10's, and perhaps 1 5x7 of each of you for each in the group (4 photos x 4 times). Anyhow have a think about what you would like at the end of the day. Some outlets have a low entrance cost i.e. the bare cost of the session, but will ramp up (sometimes astronomically) on the extra prints/enlargements/etc..

    Have a read of this thread.

    The 8x10's in that case were €175 each :confused: The family session (16 photo album) quickly ran into about €3,500 with the OP reporting about pressure-pressure-pressure to buy on the day (for that *special* deal).

    The company you mention may be fine. I've no specific knowledge of them so the content of this post is to be taken generally rather than targeted at anyone in particular.

    Always remember that you will be able to say no so long as you know your commitment. It doesn't matter how nice the images may be at the end of the day.

    Otherwise - I think its a great idea for you to do - good luck with it.

    Hi,

    I know a photographer (full time professional) who charges €80 for the session and each printed photograph up to 10"x8" is €20 (unframed/unmounted). If you wish to buy framed photographs, they are signed and dated by the photographer. The session lasts between 40 mins and 1 hour. You view the photos straight away on the computer, this takes as long as you need, contact sheets are available if you require. PM me if you would like more information.

    Kind regards,
