    Looks good as ever JP. With the starting time at 4pm and the 25 min levels, what time do you expect these will roughly finish at given, say, 50 players?

    Hey Copperface,

    Monday was advertised as a €60 freezeout, but were have decided to change it to a €30 with 1 rebuy.

    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday are all €60 Freezeouts. (we will probably change Tuesday game to a sat for the ladbrokes €250,000 Guaranteed in a week or 2)

    Friday €4000 Guaranteed. €60 with 1 rebuy

    Sunday €4000 Guaranteed deepstack 15000 Chips. Starts at 4pm

    Hi Carl,

    The old red cow game which was 20k and 30 min blinds, used to end between 1-2.30am with 50 players.

    My guess is this game would between 11.30pm-1am

    Sounds good to me! :)
    So good in fact, I'd say it's worth a 120 mile drive home in time for work on Monday morning!:rolleyes:

    I expect to be there donating, along with Rob too of course, so count us in.:D

    Fantastic tourney last weekend, professional dealers, great atmosphere and the craic wasn't bad either . . . definitely make me go back!;)

    Played in Blinkers tonight for the first time. This place has potential & could really take off.

    Atmosphere is great; staff very friendly; dealers excellent & with the tie in with CityWest hotel the place could take off.

    Best of luck with this JP; you have a right chance with this setup.

    :D

    Im sure you'll have a few structural issues to iron out with JP before the tournment commences and you'll be straight on to boards on Monday to voice you disproval on how the tournament is run. Just make sure you play in Blinkers before you launch your usual campaign to have everything restructured to suit your needs.

    i have to agree wit JP and say it was a great game and an amazing structure

    unfortunately i was terrible card dead and a lil hungover and eventually got it all in an unraised pot wit two pair and was a 9-1 dog to my opponents higher two pair :(, i found the standard good in spots but to say that it was not slightly spewy in places would be a massive understatement:eek:, it was serious limp train at one table i was at and when people tried to raise the domino affect happened:confused:, at times the table felt like a lottery draw, people were consistently willing to play OOP wit 5-7off, 4-2off:P, limping UTG wit A6off etc, i don't care if you have 300k in chips if the average is only 16K thats all you have! Rant over:D

    wil definetly be playing this as often i can cause there is a massive edge and wit a slight bit of luck chips can be hoovered up ;)

    Finished 18th in this, fabulous tourney and although it was painful at times I did enjoy it.

    I was quite card dead and the 2 times I had JJ I didn't get any action at all, although that's not necessarily a bad thing with Jacks. The guy to my right was a bit of a card rack (which certainly didn't help) but that said he got it in behind and ultimately knocked me out dunkey style.

    Exit Hand:
    I was on the button with AQ. It was checked to my card rack friend who made it 3200 (standard raise) and I shoved for 14k. He dwelled for about 3.5 secs and called the extra 10.8k with AT! Now granted He had a nice collection of chips, but I nearly fell off my chair when I saw his cards!

    Anways the flop comes KQx . . . well I could have done without the K however I was relieved to see the Q. Blank on the turn and wham his 8% chance Jack hit on the river!!

    So to sum up the variance in the tourney was huge. Some decent players there alright but on the main it was a very manageable standard even for me and my limited experience. I fully intend on playing tournies like this again when I'm in Dublin, just hoping I get some cards next time!

    Blinkers Casino is in a great spot with carparking and a high standard of dealing, definitely worth a try to anyone in the vicinity.

    great tourney jp ,, was pretty much on my starting stack for most of it until down to two tables i got up to 40k or so ... made a donkey move all in with KJ on a flop of 8,9,10 and ran into a set of 8 s , nothing on turn or river for me and it was goodbye !!
    will defo be back to play this one again !!!!!!!

    Going on the feedback from last week, i have decided to remove the 250-500 level which will create for more play on the final table.

    went all in on bb preflop to 3 flat callers with AJ's

    1 long hard think later i get 1 caller with 66

    Flop = J-6-6

    Turn = A

    River = drowning

    that was my lot, dont mind losing to a poker

    i will try to get back over today, great structure, nice people, good craic

    I'm not sure of each position as it was my day off (mind you i still made my way in to play and was knocked out just before the final table).

    There were 38 players, so a small layover.

    Vinny Burke won it for a €1400 and €250 ticket to our monthly game.

    Troy (not sure of his surname) came 2nd for €800 and a ticket.

    Damien Kavanagh, John Weafer, Derek Mulligan Jnr and Jay Farrell all made the final table.

    I will probably make another small change to the game from next week onwards. Increase the blinds from 1k-2k level or something of that effect.

    Another great tournament JP.

    This is fast becoming 'the' weekly tournament in Dublin to play.

    Great location & with a 15k starting stack and an excellent structure there's endless play.

    The Pizza at the food break ain't half bad either :D
