These are a few taken this evening. First attempt at the kite surfing. Was a great evening for it. Was taking the dog for a run on the beach and a few lads were out. Had the camera in the back of the car and got a few shots.

These are great shots. In particular, number 1 is brilliant. Aside from being perfectly exposed, the composition makes for a really interesting, cool image. Great stuff.

Really amazing shots, I second the exposure bit there - spot on.

Not an expert on the subject but these do indeed look very well, btw leaving your Camera in the back of a car is a bit silly isn't it?

I know, it was in the boot as i was going to the club later to take a few photos from on of our games. As it happened it rained so the camera got left in the car for that. Hard to believe the sun out splitting the stones and raining 1 hour later. What a country.

I have to say it is a great subject to photograph. One of the guys came over at the end looking to see if he could get one or two of the pics. So first official sale !!

    Thanks for the comments guys..

Very nice! What setup are you using for these: in particular which lens?

They are down on the south beach in rush a bit. First time that they were there when i had the camera. Asked one of the guys to give me a shout when they are down again. would like to get a few more in.

It is very interesting. Nice windy day with high winds and high waves would be great.

I was messing about with the setup all night. trying to get a grips of the manual settings. I'll check it out later what it was shot at.

I have a canon 70 to 300 is lens. Have it about 3 months and love it.
It's the f4, so plenty of pennies being put buy and saving for an L lens. Hopefully before 2010. lol

Do you mean this one? That's what I have been thinking of getting. Looks to be ~€400 bought from the UK. Cheaper from the US and Hong Kong but more difficult to get. Where did you get yours?

Great stuff D. Like them all. :) The South Beach in Rush is super, plenty of parking on beach and in car park. There is also plenty of activity with Kite surfers, boats from Rush sailing club and Lambay Island can be a nice backdrop. Rogertown Estuary is also worth a visit if your in the area, plenty of wildlife.
