Considering the milage they do and the fact they have a huge number of differnt drivers there tends to be no-one who keeps and eye on them.

Cars are often pushed to the limit, driving 24/7, driven often at high speed, stay the hell away from them

What's a bullet ? A mondeo ? Well then, she should keep away from any high end cars. :)

On a serious note, yeah it still happens, they auction phone's, cars etc... Think it gets some media advertisement when it comes around too so watch out for it !

//Keep the hell away from them car's, heard some horror story's about engines dismounting themselves from the chassis and ending up on the road. (only in Ireland would this be aloud happen!)

I have seen and done many mad things in these cars such as driving at high speed across bad roads, very near misses, engine falling onto the road, crashes etc

I wouldn't buy one. The only thing going for them is a full service history:D:D:D:D

Wilsons auctions on nass road in kingswood do garda auctions and Merlin in naas. As merlin owner says ...no such thing as a bad car only a bad price. Yea some of the garda cars are scrap but you could get a 06 mondeo for 4k. Small holes in roof and big holes in dashbord. But a modern safe Large car for small money.

In fairness, you could get the odd bargin here too! If you were lucky, a car from a rural station ciould come up that had a few drivers and well cared for, wouldnt be high speed all that often and used not that much either!

The ones from any town or city are fit to burst though, hence why the gards get rid of them!

I wouldnt buy one in a fit but herself aunt has a 98-99 corolla i think about 200, 000 miles on it and not a problem.

1 in a million she was lucky.

Garda Cars are now been NCT'd that is ones that are 4 years or more.
