Anyone else encounter travelling 'salesmen'. My dad thankfully had the cop on to wake me up. Said 'security camera' with a lens that zooms was some chepo plastic minolta looking rip off thing (felt too light to be anyway solid).

the zoom was a 50mm standard that FOCUSED manually. hence the 'zoom' since it moves in and out a bit when focusing. As it was a 35mm FILM camera I don't know how its a security camera or how you can connect it to your TV. It did have a flash bracket but even then ... fleabay would you that whole thing for about 50 euro anyway. (I got a nokon f80 for E40.. and that's much better!) I didn't check the metering .. didn't even look trough the eyepiece.

guy was looking E150. Said he sold 3 of them already. If he did poor guys..

So just filling people in and wondering if they've encountered the same ?

Might be more suitable in Consumer Affairs, rather than here.

I think the "photo crowd" are the people who would not be caught out by this.
