    Hi.

Is there any type of multichannel service that operates much like wi fi internet, a plug in aerial or mini satellite that doesnt need to be connected to an aerial or dish outside? Ive been a number of years without Skydigital now, only see it when Im at my mams or in mates houses, and I miss it like mad still. Problem is, only have the crappy old NTL with the 16 channels. The eight regular channels and Channel 6 are alright but of the others, only Sky News, Setanta, Sky 1, e4, Discovery and Paramount have anything half worth watching. Why the hell they dont give us MTV Dance or Bass rather than the joke of a main channel (where I can watch the same South Park 6 nights a week, or a bisexual girl whos face got a hack from a hot iron). And jesus, Living, like wtf. Daytime viewing for people sitting at home all afternoon drinking and waiting on Adrian Kennedy to start. The landlady lives abroad so asking her to hook up sky or NTL digital isnt an option.

So, any plug in boxes etc? My tv upstairs tv is miles from the cable connection, and afaik we dont have an aerial on the roof. While Id like all my old channels I could get by with:

    The ones I already have
    UK Gold
    FX

Can live without sky movies and sky sports. Sky Movies seems pointless when buying or renting DVDs is as cheap as chips now and I dont have time to watch every PL game at the weekend.

    Thanks

Not unless you live in UK and have a freeview DTT box.

Transmitter site location and/or power is too poor here for good indoor TV reception in most cases and the DTT system you want is 8 years behind. Licence only awarded last week to boxer for pay channels and RTE NL only upgrading for RTE channels (+TG4 & TV3) at the minute.

Our Satellite dishes are 50% bigger than England or Germany as we are on edge of signal. (except for Astra 2D used by Sky/BBC for some channels and Intelsat 907 not used by public)
