A few of us from here and some other friends will be going. So that we can all be together we are thinking of getting tickets for Hill 16. If anyone else is planning on going, contact Blackbelt or myself and we can arrange to meet up, especially if you are going to be on the Hill. We'll adjourn to Madigan's afterwards if people wanted to meet us there. Post in this thread too if you are going.

Apparently Hill 16 will not be open this weekend. I've secured my tickets for the Cusack Stand for both Saturday and Sunday. We'll see people at some stage in any case. If not in Croke Park, then Madigan's afterwards.

Well Smashey,Dublin and Donegal will be in Division 1 together next year so you have to come to Parnell Park and Kitty Kiernans or indeed we'll make the long and never ending trip up to Ballybofey and taste the brew up the North-east.:D

Smashey, even if Donegal aren't playing this weekend, you could still go. After all, you wouldn't be the only neutral there. :)

My tickets arrived today. I'll be in section 307 on both days, which is a very good section to be in. It's near the centre of the pitch, in the Lower Cusack. A good weekend lies ahead.:)

Getting my tickets tomorrow, so not sure where they will be yet. I will go to Madigans for one after anyway. How many are going?

I'd love to go but I'm heading off on holidays on Wednesday and I'll just save the beer money for then. :)

    Got my tickets today,

I'm in Lower Cusack section 304 on Saturday and section 309 on Sunday.

Hope Mayo knock the stuffing out of Tyrone.

I'll be wearing my Mayo jersey.:D:D

sorry for my ignorance guys- but where do you get tickets for the double header on Sunday as in before the weekend? do you think any will be avaiable at Croker on the day?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭Flukey

"The usual sources" as they say, namely clubs of competing counties, the ticket office in Croke Park and the loved and loathed Ticketmaster. They are due to be selling them in outlets around the area on both days, so you should be able to get one that way, if not another.

You need to get your priorities right. A GAA fan, leaving the country during the summer? Disgraceful. If, miracle of miracles:p, Donegal had reached the quarter-finals, what would you have done then? Next year, book your summer holidays for November.

Or if you live outside the country like me, book your holidays to be home when important games are on

    FYI
Tickets for this weekend’s GAA Football Round Three Qualifers in Croke Park will be on sale to the public from the GAA Ticket Shop (opposite Gills Pub on the North Circular Road) from 10am to 6 pm on Friday 1st August.

Tickets can also be purchased on GAA.ie, over the phone from the GAA Ticket Office on 01 8658657 or at outlets around the ground on the day of the match.

I delayed my honeymoon by a day a couple of years ago. Then Cork robbed us in Croker.:D

Unfortunately, working in architecture means the holidays are tied in with the builders holidays. :(

Well spend your holidays in Croke Park. Sure where else would a GAA fan want to be during the summer? :)

I've been there, Croke Park is better :D (Only if your team wins)

I haven't been, but if you take two weeks in Tunisia compared to 14 visits to Croke Park over the summer, there is no contest. :) Think about this way: How many times have you been in Croke Park wondering and fretting about what is going on in Tunisia? :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 257 ✭✭63587614

Right lads, I'll be there on Sun, Ciarrai abu. The beauty of working in Dublin, luas the headquarters. Have a friend lining out for Louth in Nicky Rackard cup v Sligo.

Some laugh, same billing as Kerry. Great opportunity to shine and be seen in the same light as Champions, Kerry.

Well drop into Madigans on O'Connell Street after the game. Hopefully we'll get a few more going, especially the newbies.

Donegal's visits to Croke Park this year have been ... eh... um... few and far between. :(:D

    HI Lads,

Not sure if this is the right thread, but you get the point. I presume there is a fair few of you going to the games on Saturday ?

Im taking a client to the matchs on Saturday ad I intend to ditch him aftwards, could someone PM me their mobile number so I can identify you feckers when I get to the pub.. Providing Im not recalled to base by her indoors.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 339 ✭✭TirEoghain

There will be a few of us going to the games on Saturday. Myself and Flukey will definitely be there. We can be identified from the photoes on the GAA boards beers thread. I'll be weating the same black Tyrone top, but I do expect to have a haircut by then. :O

Anyway, we'll be in Madigan's after the game, as this is the usual GAA Boards haunt after any matches in Croker.

I'll PM my number, so you can catch up with us.

Oh sure thats more of it! Leave us out!

Would i be right in thinking Croker wont be full on Sunday? I'm very lazy to go walking across Town to go to ticketmaster today. Thinking of just getting them above.

There'll only be 50,000 max there on Sunday, no panic with tickets.

Tickets on Sale Sunday from 10.30am at following locations.

    - GAA Ticket Office, 526 North Circular Rd (opposite Gill’s Pub)

    - ticket kiosk at Ballybough [under the railway bridge]

    - ticket kiosk at Dorset St [outside Martin’s Auctioneers]

Possibly only Hill16 tickets left at that stage, I think the stands are nearly sold out, they're expecting a big crowd on Sunday so you might be best to make that walk to ticketmaster, unless Hill16 will suffice.

PS: They have Lower Hogan on ticketmaster.ie at the moment!

Anyone that wants to come and join us, just PM one of the regulars at these event, namely Blackbelt, TirEoghain or myself. Check out Tir Eoghain's photos thread to help you recognise us. As already mentioned several times, we'll be in Madigans after the matches, both on Saturday and Sunday. We are in training for the big one on Saturday the 16th. :) With both Boardsies and friends, it should be the biggest gang of us ever. Be there!
