Just wondering how many people use cardrunner and how good/bad do they find it?

I'm interested in joining it, but think the fee is very expensive for what it is every 6 months etc.

So if people have different views on this site or any other training sites I would be interested.

It's gone to all hell imo. Like for 6max MSNL cash the content has been dire this year. Deuces Cracked is a billion times better. They have a point to all their videos, not just some guy 4-tabling, and they actually seem to enjoy doing it (even nosebleeders like Krantz) where it seems like a chore to the CR guys.

Are any of the deucescracked guys as good as Ansky? He hasn't done a decent video (i.e. cash) in a while, I'm thinking of signing up to deuces but don't really want to be paying 3 sites, and can't decide to drop CR or Pokersavvy... Ansky alone is worth the Savvy fee IMO.

I was actually only thinking today of starting a thrwad ranking all the various Instructors... anyone who's a member of DC care to rate the guys in their ability to get ideas across?? Any as good or better then Ansky/CTS??

Foxwoodsfiend's 'Movin' On Up' and 'Dear Foxwoodsfiend' series' are the best poker videos I've ever seen, and is way ahead of anyone in terms of thought process...literally when a question came into my mind during the action he would answer it straight away. His approach to hand reading is brilliant and everyone could learn a ton from it. They would be the bulk of what I've watched, but Krantz seems excellent too, and Dogishead does solid 5/10 videos in the cardrunners style.

Have you seen Ansky's Video's in comparison to FWF's??

so you guys feel its good quality for what you got in return?

Would you really need to join more than one site?

Rating the sites and trainers would be a great idea.

You can get a 7 day trial at DC, you need to give CC details but just cancel at some stage within 7 days and you are fine. Will give you a taster anyway. Also if you wanted you could download all the DC vids in that week and watch them later if you want as they don't have DRM on that site.

Yeah you can do the same with Pokersavvy, try them out before you splash out money on CR IMO, you might not like them, but they're defo good value IMO.

And they are all basically the same idea with different trainers, although if you're looking for MTT's I'd say CR may be the best option, with mkind, Timex, actionjeff and menlo, Savvy have jurollo and ansky, I haven't watched many MTT vids but I do remember mkind's as being good IIRC, and obviously Ansky is good since I'm almost licking his balls here...

Cardrunners content went down since early this year but it looks like they have made an effort and most videos have been really good lately, and they have the best mix between cash, mtt and sng. I only got it for 6-max+hu nlh, but some of the omaha vids are great, jackal's horse and husngs vids are excellent and schnieds limit videos are great also.

DC is very good, definitely aimed more at cash game players. My only problem is a couple of instructors come across as patronising dicks in their videos but other than that they are ahead in content atm v's cardrunners.

Haven't checked out any other sites yet, but as far as cost goes it's rediculously good value for what you get imo.

Btw, check if your rakeback providers have deals with the training sites, I get my deucescracked renewed monthly once I rake $500+ in a month.

i've got deucescracked and i'd say they are well-worth joining up to initially as opposed to cardrunners. Nice interface and DRM free vids for downloading and watching later. As said previously they have a free 7-day trial, no upfront fee, and after that it is only $28 per month.

also betdaq give you a free three-month trial of PokerXFactor (which is meant to be good) if you rake 500 fpp. After you've raked 500 points you just email them and they send you a code.

I was with cardrunners for 3 months then cancelled. It wasn't just that some of the content was bad, but you could go through all of the good content in a pretty short space of time, and after that you're basically paying to wait for one good video every once in a while. The forum is also full of dicks.

I have Deuces Cracked aswell and would highly recommend it, although have not tried the other sites so can't really compare.

For small stakes (50NL to 200NL) 6 max, sthief09's series "Turning the Corner" is excellent and would probably pay for the subscription by itself.

Other series Late Night Coaching and King for a Day are also very good where they critically review member sessions. I like this format, as they analyse good and bad points of players who actually play at these limits.

I was hoping nobody would notice, but I think its a interesting developement. Personally I wonder how much content or different ways they can cover the same subject. They can try and make poker more differcult then it his.

Interesting views post so far. I still think the fee is to high and how much can you learn by watching the top players play online free, all your getting his there thought process, which a lot of them seem to change based on the result of the hand.

I rather use it for cash games if I'm going to join. But I've read a lot of posting in 2+2 and its seems to be very mix reviews.

I am currently using pokerxfactor through betdaq and the site is excellent imo.Pearljammer and Rizens MTT videos are really outstanding showing theirs thought processes and constant reads of other players.Though i would say its more geared towards Mtt and SnG players.
