windows media player problem

    hi,

    when i play media player it appears like the picture. does anyone know what the problem is? is it just the screen resolution? or is there some deep rooted problem?

    hmmmmmm looks like there is a kind of negitive effect applied to it. What codecs are you using for videos? Might be worth checking them and their settings.

    unfortunately its a work computer. so there not too keen on me downloading stuff. im just wondering is there anything i can do that will get past their firewall and block on downloads

    oh i thought you would have already had something like xvid codec already on there, so you havent actually installed any extra codecs etc????
    What format are the videos you have?

    Check the display is set to 32bit colour. (Right click desktop/properties)

    Upgrade to version 10... Should fix it me thinks :D

    Its a known bug with WMP 9..
