Starting a new band in dublin

    Singer/Song-writer looking to start up a new band in Dublin. Seeks Male/Female electro-pianist with good knowledge of music theory and can play by ear. Lead guitarist who basically knows the fret board inside-out and can also add to original material(no modern day jimi page's). A solid strong-minded bass player who can also play the guitar (some ex in lead guitar) and again, add to original material. A good drummer who can also play the guitar. The weirder and more ****ed up the musicians are the BETTER!!! Emphasis is everything. Will be doing all original material and maybe covers in practice for a mess about. It's not about what you can play, it's about what you/we can write and how its played..

    I write songs like your modern day ballad Bands like U2, Coldplay, Snow patrol and all those kind of bands who write some commercial songs for media attention which i think is the way forward. Don't get me wrong i love Led Zep, Thin Lizzy,Jimi hendrix and all those sorts but i believe we have come to the end of achievement of producing guitarists like those, besides no one wants to hear some lead guitarist ripping the ****e out of his fretboard for 20 mins in every song. Unless people plan on buying their own CD's otherwise forget it.

    My influences are The Beatles, U2, Coldplay, Keane, Led Zep, Goo Goo Dolls, The Counting Crowes, Keane, Train, snow patrol, Pearl jam, The killers, Green Day, Rory Gallagher, Thin Lizzy, Thunder, Eric clapton, Creed, Feeder, Lifehouse, Embrace, Razorlight, Metallica, Bellx1,Onerepublic, Three Doors down, Arcade fire and every other except for the likes of Korn, Slipknot and all those other noise bands.
