Just wondering if anyone had any tips for writing a letter of complaint to Comreg about the level of service I have been reciving form ICE over the past year and especially the past month.

I plan to print off my pages of reports from Speedtest.net which shows my shocking speed levels and also the comparsion chart from this site.

Im going to inclusd the number of calls made the past 2 weeks and also mention that they havnt returned a single call or email.

    Any more ideas??

Who else should I complain to, Im in need of a good vent

Some may accuse you of being, in reality, a delusional or split personality who is writing to themselves .

I take it you have an explanation for us .

He is very very evil, he gives rural Ireland pairgains and crap lines and makes sure we pay the highest line rental in the world for this crap and refuses to make eircom fix it :(

If you have a dossier get onto Brenda Power on Newstalk as soon as you mail info@comreg.ie

Comreg are anally retentive and will have expected you to follow the ICE 'complainst procedure' most especially if there is no 'complaints procedure' save to leave you on hold all day .

A very good angle of attack is to email ICE with the words "formal complaint" in the subject and if they do not give you a complaint reference number forthwith then thats a ground for complaint straight to comreg.

I lodged a offical complaint via the website

    http://www.icebroadband.com/dev/component/option,com_contact/task,view/contact_id,2/Itemid,3/

You actually raised a valid point, they haven't given me a reference number and they havent replied as per

    " 2. Acknowledgement of complaint

All complaints will be acknowledged within two working days. Phone complaints are acknowledged immediately on receipt of the call by Ice Broadband's customer care representative. "

    AND

"5. Notification of resolution of the complaint

Once a complaint is rectified, you will be contacted by a customer care representative to ensure that the fault has been resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. Faults will only be closed with agreement of you, the customer. A record of the complaint and of the resolution will be maintained on Ice Broadband's customer database for a minimum period of 12 months. "

Should my correspondence be via email, post or both?

Should I send the letter straight to the chairperson of ICE?

Any help in the wording of this letter would be great

I was supposed to put in

    "Service Degradation

Ice Broadband constantly monitors the quality of our network and the quality of all customer connections. Ice Broadband aims to resolve all customer service degradation issues within 5 working days. "

inatead of 5 but you get my drift
