Creative Zen Won't Charge/Turn On

Hi, I bought a Zen Vision:M nearly two years ago. I moved house last year and I stored it away. About 6 months ago I took it out, the battery was dead and now it wont charge. As far as I can remember there was an indicator light around the power button to show it was charging, that wont even light up now so it doesn't seem to be getting any power. I gave up at the time but I just came across the extended warranty I purchased for it. I just said I'd put up a post first before I send it away for repair, just on the off chance Im missing something? I've tried to charge it by USB and also with a creative power adaptor. I thought the battery might be so flat that it would take a few hours charging before the indicator light would come on. But surely it would come on straight away if it was getting its power from the mains? Am I wrong? It wasn't damaged when I had it stored away either. I had it stored with a Zen V and that is working fine so its not a case of damp conditions etc. Anyway if you have any ideas id be grateful, thanks.

Try leaving it to charge for over 24 hrs... the battery may just need a bit of a kick up the arse...so to speak.
