Has anyone every seen or used one of these?

Thought about buying one at one stage but room(space) was an issue for me as I would have had to located it in the live room and needed the space. They are pricey.

They're useful if you're recording professional narration. And you've got alot on noise going on in the background. but if you're recording music, in a quite dampened area you don't really need them.

The way mic's pick up unwanted noise is funny. Dolphin music sell these small booths that just stand on a stand with an enclosure that wraps around your head and the mic ... if you're doing vocal.

Background noise sometimes adds alot to a recording....

Mic's are just very funny in the way they pick up noise.

Ususally the worst noise they pick up, is that absolutely horrible constant tone wir of a computer in the background. It's destroys recordings.

You mean the SE Reflexion filter, right? Great for VO work alright:

    They're heavy though!

I never use the vocal booth for singers. In my opinion 99% of the time, one needs to be in the same room as the singer, facing them. Always gets a better performance, more emotion. Getting rid of fan noise from computers is easy. Vocal booths are good for sticking loud amps into, sometimes.

That's a very interesting point , I spoke to a Spanish dealer in Barcelona recently, where a lot of of the English/Spanish redubbing is done and he said that was his primary market.

Does anyone know anywhere that sells these. In Dublin or on the net?
