    I dont know if this is the right thread/section or not so if its moved its moved....

    Anyway does anybodyknow what foods have a lot of iodine in them because I thinkg I might be deficient...

    I'm not being funny but if there's a reason you think you are deficient in iodine and this is a self-diagnosis then you should see a doctor.

    Foods rich in iodine include seaweeds and some fish, however, if you are not iodine deficient and you much your way through tons of this stuff you could end up suffering from iodine overload.

    Seriously, a doctor will let you know for sure...

    Well I used to eat a lot of tuna but know that I think of it havent had any in a while nor any fish to be honest maybe thats it

    ....I hate my doctor everytime I go theres nothing wrong with me and he makes me feel like a fool...I know thats no excuse I suppose ill have to go if the seafood doesnt work out

    I would advise against seaweeds, they can have dangerously high levels of iodine and the thryoid gland can react quite adversly to an overload of iodine.

    Fish (including white fish), seafood, milk products are good sources of iodine. But the easiest thing to do would be to by iodised salt - it comes in a red/yellow packaging and most supermarkets stock it.
