Tea, Coffee & Hot chocolate forum!!

Which is the best Hot chocolate?

Im having a cup of Aeros Hot chocolate, miles better then Cadberys according to my taste buds.
Granted, aero does say, 4 heaped teaspoons! Thats an insane amount of power when you look at it! 4 Teaspoons, yer gonna go through it quicker!

    Opinions?

Are there any other brands out there?

Try Black & Green. More chocolate;less artificial muck.

    Twinings.

Don't know if it's still available though, it's been a while.

I picked up a couple of milk whisks/frothers from Dealextreme
recently which are ideal for making hot chocolate.

I've seen these in shops here for up to €10 whereas DX has them for
    under €3 each including shipping.
    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13437

Perfect for whisking up some hot chocolate on it's own or making a
    mocha.

You REALLY don't want to know how addicted I am to shopping on it.
I blame the weak dollar and free shipping.

    +1

don't mean to burst your bubble on those aero drinks and lot of the hot choclate type drinks but the contain a lot of hydrogenated trans fats.

I've recently tried the Coco Direct drinking chocolate, and found it to be excellent.

Is there anywhere I could pick something like this up in or around Dublin?

Green & Blacks is my favourite hot chocolate. Whittards also make good stuff which I bought up in the outlet past Newry

    http://www.whittard.co.uk/

any ideas if it's available in Dublin anywhere?

I've a frothie machine for making hot chocolate & also one of these:

    http://www.bodum.com/b2c/index.asp?shpId=4&famid=10&famSubId=1009&id=10661-01

it's all about the frothie-ness with home made hot chocolate for me

Butlers also have a new hot chocolate (well I've never seen it before) that I'm going to try - anyone tried it?

I like rich, thick chocolate (Italian they call it); I drink mine by the spoon rather than normal drinking...

The G hotel in Galway do a great one.....

When I want hot chocolate I thinly slice some of my favourite chocolate and whisk it into hot milk. It's so much nicer than using a powder.
Sometimes I use Dairy Milk, sometimes Green & Black.

Just tried some of that Fairtrade CocoDirect. It's really nice! WOuld be nice if I could get my hands on a little handheld milk-frother though. Anyone know where I can pick one up in or near Dublin?

    Try Home Store & More.

Lidl also had milk frothing jugs (now why dies that sound perverse) in a couple of weeks back, they'd do
    the job just as well.
