What are sniper rifle airsoft guns like and are they powerful?
i was thinking of getting one off RSOV.com is that site good?

The main difference between a sniper rifle & an aeg, is that the sniper rifle mainly fires as a single shot & has a longer barrel, hence slightly longer range.
It will still only have a maximum power rating of 328 FPS &/ 1 Joule.

Get it here. Olympics means they government is temporarily banning them. May not get through.

Longer barrel only gives you more accuracy, not longer range. A good hop will increase your range somewhat without affecting the muzzle energy.

The big difference is playing style. A sniper rarely actually gets into direct contact with targets and must have a lot of patience. The low fire rate of bolt actions, combined with the low mag capacity of about 25 (average) are traded off by having a very accurate and very quiet system.
Lots of people think they could be snipers but it takes a lot of patience and skill to do it properly. If you have never skirmished before, I suggest getting a rental or, if you really want to buy something, an assault rifle and trying the game out first.
Remember that the power limits here of 1J apply to all rifles, and it's easy for an airsoft rifle to reach 1J. As such, having a sniper rifle over a decent assault rifle is only granting you a bit more accuracy. I've seen some submachine guns match range with sniper rifles. The difference is in how you can use it.

What I understand from the couriers who I do business with, shipping in general in China is grinding to a hault.
It's not just AEGs.

aegs in theory are not allowed in china anyway, but with the games there having a clamp down, also everything is juts getting slowed down for the games, if china says have a city closes then they close nothing you can do,

I think any sniper rifle you buy off of RSOV will be overpowered (over 1joule of energy) thus making it illegal in ireland in any case.

Yeah, most airsoft stuff is illegal in China. It's really the shipping that they are putting restrictions on, in turn affecting airsoft shipments to HK.

Well why do most retailers dealing with china confirm this along with retails based in china themselves? just look at ebaybanneds release after there site went down and the comments on aegs in that, im using them as an example as most people seem to trust them for some reason.

I;ve heared this confirmed by a number of sources let all own the fact there has been a number of news reports of large number of airsoft devices being destroyed by china authority, but in reality as with must industry in china money rules and no one cares and more a token act for cameras.

But i've seen nothing concrete both way so its impossible to say for shore really.

there is somthing like 250 - 300 check points around teh capital itself, things are just shutting down

as i said its "from what ive heard", and the guy really seems to know what hes talking about, myself and paul/nonex were having a chat with him in HRTA about it and he was telling us about how big airsoft is there, aparently its been around a long time.,

yeah help the OP please

i recently got the jg bar 10 courtesy of tony in eirsoft and they are...delish.

a bit figity to put together first, but its an immense rifle, beautiful feeling and finish, a lovely bolt action, extremely accurate and for 170 you get everything you need to be a sniper

its a proper good rifle

the bar 10 r the well l96 are probably the two best starter rifles, and i ve heard some things about the SSG

but the bar10 blows them all out of the water, including high end rifles
