    Well lads, back again.
Anyone know what type of video files the N70 takes? I downloaded a flv video file and I want to put into my phone but it wont play. Theres a still shot of the video in the phone and when I go to play it, it says "Unable to play media file".
I have a converter that will change flv to whatever but I don't know what one:(
    Please help. cheers.

it records mp4 videos and will play that or 3gp. But i think there might be different types of mp4 because i converted a video to mp4 a few weeks ago and it wouldn't play on my phone. Maybe try the nokia multimedia converter

convert to 3gp - is your safest bet ;)

mtube only plays stored clips of up to 320x240 - if the op downloaded clip from youtube or similar, it's probably larger!

nokia's media converter won't handle .flv, btw!

ivc ("internet video converter" - a freeware program) does a good job with youtube/google/yahoo etc .flv clips... 3gp, mp4, divx, xvid...goes it all ;)

I'm sorry... bad connection, you're really hard to hear :p:confused:

what do you mean "3gp won't work"?

your phone doesn't play 3gp? You cannot convert to 3gp?

    what!???
Really, Plug...if you want help, it'd be really helpful if you were that tiny bit more precise! it's easier to worm my stray cat :P
You can't expect us to make every single suggestion, like, eh, ever before you finally describe your problem in a bit more detail!

Now, rant over, how can we help?
    :)

I converted the video to 3gp then transfered it to my phone. All I got is a still shot of the video and when I go to play it nothing happens just "unable to play video"

aac and m4a are audio formats are they not?

op what program did you use to convert it to 3gp? The nokia one? And did you try converting other videos besides the flv?

    that is odd...
Have you tried downloading and playing some 3gp clip via your wap browser from some wap site (just google 3gp clip)?
The clip you're trying to play, does is have a very very long file name? What's the file ending?

I tried ACC and got nothing. Forget the program I used, all I know is it transfers flv to a load of different type of files. The file name is short enough, it ends with .flv, thats what I try to convert, it converts no problem but it just wont play:(

try super its a free converter an its the business
these settings should play quite well on your N70

    Container: MP4
    Video: MP4
    Audio: AAC

    Then video settings:
    Size: 352x288
    Aspect: 4:3
    Frame/Sec: 15

but feel free to adjust to your own needs, or just use these settings with the converter u have already.
