    Following on a strong but unfortunately not so long line of females to play the club, step forward Americhord, Ellen Allien, Magda, Mistress Barbara & Lisa Kenny, this week we welcome Cassy aka Catherine Britton to make her Irish debut at Electric City. Cassy was born in England and raised in Austria by a Caribbean father and an Austrian mother. She spent her childhood in Vienna and Lower Austria where she started to sing and study music at an early age. She performed her first step into the professional world of electronic music as a vocalist for Elin's aka Autorepeat's "Music Takes Me Higher" on Sabotage Records. A series of releases on labels such as Mental Groove, Gigolo, Dessous, Ostgut, Perlon and her own eponymous label. She moved to Berlin in 2003 and after a while gained her reputation as a House and Minimal Dj. She has become a resident DJ at Panorama bar and has also mixed the very first Panorama bar compilation. She has collaborated with artists as Dj Elin aka Autorepeat, Dave the Hustler, Steve Bug, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Mathew Jonson and recently Swayzak.

    Rocking the lit-by-a-USB-lamp laptop beforehand will be Dan McElligott on the Serato buzz with tunes so fresh they were just laid by minimal hen on Sunday. Expect even Cassy to be taking a sneaky glance in his My Documents folder before she gets on.
