    Hi there!
I'am heading back to college after a year out in Oct and I want to head away for a week in Sept (a week is all I can stretch to both in terms of finances and time as I have to sort out accommodation and all that jazz..)
Nobody is up for coming with me so I've decided to go it alone. I really want to head to Asia or South Africa and I've seen loads of package deals on usit.ie. A package deal under a grand is what I am really looking for-Particularly one that includes adventure sports. Can anyone advise me on how to go about organising this?? Has anyone here done this before?

asia/south africa seem like very long distances to go for a week.

If you're up for adventure sports, Tarifa in the south of Spain is a really cool spot, and a great place for kite-surfing and wind-surfing. It's about 1 1/2 hours from Malaga airport. There are loads of schools in the town that offer courses from 1-day to 5-day. When I was there loads of people had gone on their own to go to the schools and all hooked up later in the great bar (Pacha Mamas) across the road from the beach for a bbq and a few drinks. Good times! Check out www.tarifa.net. We didn't do this as a package holiday though, and it worked out pretty cheap: flights: E100, Apartment: E50 pp for the week. the kitesurfing course worked out about E200. Alternatively there are loads of places in Portugal that do surfing holidays. Some of these do pick ups from the nearest airport etc. They look like a lot of fun. Good luck in your search!
