Casa Huckleberry, Baleal Portugal, House Rental

Just returned from a group holiday to Baleal, an hour north of Lisbon, with friends. We rented a house there called Casa Huckleberry and I just wanted to warn people of our very negative experiences with the landlady.
We were 9, the landlady who was from England, was aware of how many would be staying and the house catered for this number in terms of bathrooms and beds. We are all young professionals, we kept the house clean and we recycled and took out our rubbish daily.
We returned to the house during the rental period to find an extremely rude, disrespectful (we were her customers) and aggressive letter from the landlady, who had been into the house while we were out, regarding the 'state' of the house. The house was 'lived in' but in no way whatsoever could it have been perceived as a 'state'. We had moved a pot-pourri filled bowl from the coffee table to the floor beside the tv to make room for use of the coffee table. We had unplugged a simple set of computer speakers from the computer (which the house is advertised as having for renter's use) in the attic and plugged them in downstairs for listening to music, and someone had left the computer on standby instead of turning it off. We were told we could use a table tennis table from the garage which we did but apparently we were supposed to fold it up and put it away after each use, something we were not made aware of.
The one thing we did damage was a plastic, cheap (by the landladys own admission) clock which someone accidentally leaned against and knocked down. This we were going to replace or pay for without question.
The Landlady returned later that day with her partner and acted extremely aggressively towards myself and my friends, demanding money and even suggesting that we get out. Obviously the house is where they, as a family, live and they seem to move out when there is a rental oppotunity.
If you are going to be that fastidious about your property may I suggest you should not rent it to complete strangers who, while respectful, may not share your persnickety tendencies.
