Hi Diddly Ho having a BBQ (I have organised a separate BBQ for the veggies so it'll all be prepared & cooked separately) Last time I burned the quorn sausages but did ok woth the burgers. Anyhoo I want to know how I can make the food yummy and does anyone have any ideas.

I'm ashamed to say the most veggie things I cook are curries fritattas and chow mein and the like.

I don't want them to feel like i've made no effort...

    Please help?

Cut an abergine long ways into flats, brush with garlic oil and bbq on both sides.
Place a dollop of a mixture of feta (obviously not for the vegans), chilli flakes, limejuce and chopped mint(mixed up to taste) on the widest part.
Roll up and secure with a cocktail stick.

Also works very well with courgettes.

ooww I though you were going to invite us to a boards BBQ.
I have very low expectations when other people feed me.
I'd be chuffed that you thought to set up a separate BBQ.

I hate fake meats, but Frittata and a salad bar would go down a treat with me.

If you're doing fake meats, the linda mccartney 1/4 pounders are good. Would probably be nice barbequed.
How about a kebab? Courgette, aubergine, haloumi etc..

Nature Boy you beat me to the courgette and haloumi. Have only rediscovered Haloumi and it is yum. Toss it in a few chili flakes and garlic....

And don't forget to cook a few bananas in their skins on the BBQ for dessert :D

cherry tomatoes on a skewer are delicious with button mushrooms, aubergine, courgette, peppers... etc. Be sure to brush with oil.

    Good luck with the weather!

the last 3 BBQs I was invited to I was the only veggie there.....
First two times I was given an oven cooked cheese & tomato pizza
Third time I was given oven grilled veggie burgers..... :D

I think there's very little chance they'll feel you've made no effort ;)
