I made the decision yesterday to try make at least one Irish gig a week if possible for the Summer months. It's pretty ridiculous, there are gigs on every night in good ol' dubalin towin but the only ones I see are big International bands or my mates bands.

So now I need to know, what Irish bands are playing soon that might be pleasurable to my ears?

jasus i could! and i'm a wicklow native, happy days, back to the lakes!

If I'd of known I definitely would of got tickets but I've already got way too much on this weekend (I'm very popular and in demand you see), so I'll be starting my great love affair with Irish bands next week in Dublin.

    So all suggestions are welcome!

I'll probably check out that Rest gig too, heard good things about them. I just found out Adebisi Shank were supporting Electric Eel Shock there, pissed off I missed that

Other cool Irish bands - A Futurist Theatre (http://www.myspace.com/afuturisttheatre), Simon and the Ghost (http://www.myspace.com/simonandtheghost), of course God Is An Astronaut.. trying to think of other Irish bands I listen to but having a bit of a blank :P

i hear there are 90 bands playing at hwch and most are irish. there's a scottish 'invasion' that curated by sons and daughters so should be a few interesting acts there.

Rest are pretty great though, i'd recomend picking up Burning In Water, Drowning In Flame by them. Haven't seen 'em since August '06...

The Kybosh are playing Crawdaddy next Wenesday (27th). Support from The Funeral Suits and Spook of the thirteenth lock.

    I predict good things...
