    Hi all,
one of the guitarists in the band does a bit of keyboard playing too but is considering getting a midi pickup for his guitar to allow him use the sounds from keyboard.
He is suggesting the following (or similar):

    midi pickup:

Has anyone here ever used one, and if so what are your opinions on them?

I find myself (unreasonably maybe) already biased against them - I heard a guy play one about 10 years ago, and just found it unatural and irritating - perhaps things are better now.

I think it would be asier to get one of the other lads to play keyboard when he's on guitar, but I think he just has GAS for this thing now!
