    Hey,

I got a leather satchel/schoolbag from Spain. I was looking for one for a while so was pretty happy. However the leather smells so strong that you can smell it all around the flat, let alone when using it. I don't use it everyday but my question is does anyone have any ideas on how I can get rid of the smell? Is there any cream or polish I could put on it to stop the smell?

It'll fade with time. Not really much you can do about it. This stuff is supposed to be good, but I don't know if you can get it here. Link http://www.88stink.com/

I think the smell of leather is gorgeous, can't think why anyone would want to get rid of it:confused:

Because they don't like the smell of it.

Personally I love it, but occasionally you get an item which is overpowering, to the extent that your house reeks of it.

I think all you can do about it is use the bejaysus out of it.
