I have an old P3 Dell Pentium 3 CPXJ 600 laptop that will boot up perfectly when cold but once it is warm it will not boot up at all. I have to wait several hours before I can start it, any suggestions? ( I don't use this machine other than programming / operating a moving LED sign)

Pull it apart , clear all fan vents , reseat CPU heatsink cleaning old and applying new thermal paste . Probably not as easy to do all that as it sounds , though .
