Let us know when you get it and if it has the most recent maps. Thanks

That's a sweet price - I paid 400 notes for mine back in the day. Even if it does come with old maps, you can get a free upgrade DVD direct from Garmin.

How would one go about this?

I got one at xmas and the old maps are on it?

These are "Non-Returnable Items" Boxed as NEW Factory Reworked & Re-Manufactured

    http://www.mynewcheap.co.uk/products/details/garmin-nuvi-350-sat-nav/10014/

Still a very good price though.

It sure looks like the Ichtus Christian symbol.

Ichthus, also spelled ichthys is the Greek word for fish. The spelling in Greek is IXOYE for Iota, Chi, Theta, Upsilon, and Sigma which mean Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.

So only directions to churches on the maps then.

the union flag runs through ireland too. i am so set in my ways i probably wouldnt be able to buy that garmin for €1 after seeing that. how sad.

Price is actually €192 now due to increased delivery charges to ROI - still going for it though, can't find a better deal in Dublin! Regardless of the Union Jack error on the website, it just re-iterrates the stupidity/ignorance/lack-of-actually-giving-a-****-about-Ireland-ness of middle-England and the majority of its inhabitants, i'll be damned if i'm gonna snub a bargain over it!!

Where do it say anything about the increased delivery charge to Ireland. I registered with them and added it to cart and it says £6.99 postage
    Basket
    1: Garmin Nuvi 350 White Box 1 @ £124.99 £124.99
    Postage £6.99
    Total (inc vat) £131.98

I recieved an e-mail from them asking me to confirm my postal address as it did not match the one on my card... sorted it out with them anyway and they quoted me price of €192, i asked why it was this much and they said that a £25 postage fee for ROI had been added, not £6.99, which is UK only. Although a bit pissed off the didnt mention it previously, I still wanted it and authourised payment.

£25 is a bit steep for delivery from the UK, unless of course its coming by next day courier.

    Its cheaper here lads ...http://www.pentagongps.co.uk/c.do?category=22&page=2

And no mention of a factory re conditioned model either. I'd recommend going for the nuvi 360 from that site €170 all in for the 360 is a very good price.

    Excellent find Rafloution

i got 3 760's from pentagongps a few months ago, would highly recommend them too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 688 ✭✭✭luketitz

Yeah the £25 delivery cost is pretty pricey, wasnt too happy with it but took it as i'm still saving on irish prices. Not too bothered about mention of factory re conditioned model as long as it does what its supposed to do! I do wish i could've found that cheaper offer from pentagongps earlier though!

Im trying to order from this site using visa but it keeps saying its rejected by using the "verified by visa" method.
    Anyone have any problems ordering?

You register your GPS on the Garmin website. You can then check for map updates on the site. If the unit purchased came with old maps (and was purchased after a certain cut-off date), then you're entitled to the latest 2008 maps on a DVD. At least that was how it worked last January when I registered mine.

I got a Garmin streetpilot c550 off Ebay. Not Factory refurbished, brand new and returnable should there be an issue. Cost €142 which included delivery from London (48hrs).

Its a great kit. Has bluetooth for handsfree calling and MP3 player. Ire/UK and All Europe maps. Free trafic subscription for life but this isn't available in Ireland yet.

I registered on the Garmin website and got latest maps for free, Didn't have to wait for dvd as you can download and they have an easy installer program that does all the work, including updating to the latest firmware.

Haven't got the link to hand but will put it up ian a bit if anyone interested.

I just received a rideon mower axle complete with wheels - 28kg weight - that cost £22.95 to ship from swansea!

    £25 is daylight robbery.

I just 'won' an ebay on this - same site, £101 + £19.99(!) slightly more than your price....still ok with yours?

I assume this is for the Looket G8. Has anyone ever used it or got an opinion on it. Reviews on the web are very good but a lot of people overwrote the software with TomTom. Although there seems to be a new software up for this too on the manufacturers site which people are saying is good too.
