These are figures from last season published in Gazetta dello Sport. It's the annual salary in millions (€'s obviously).

To think that Celtic could double or treble the wages of Aquilani and Vucinic is incredible. They're both better than any player of their type in the SPL yet their wages are on par with Celtic's squad players.

    That's why they're in Serie A.

    Montolivio 300K a year, Zapata 230k a year, Rosina 300k a year

that is peanuts by Prem standards for such players. They could make that in less than 2months playing for West Ham!

I'd say Chiellini is in line for a massive pay rise.

    Pretty standard.

Pandev on less than €9,000 a week seems amazing.

Cassano must have taken a huge pay cut after leaving Real.

On the whole though, figures seem much more sensible than England, especially where middle and lower tier teams now pay almost €6m regularly (Kieron Dyer)

I'm pretty sure he was still on Real wages at that time because I think that was a loan transfer

I'd play football for that kinda money though!

Can't wait for the recession to hit the UK.

Poor Saha has to settle for £30,000 a week!

It still works out at 200k a game for him
