so you put the dublin address on an application for the dublin job , or you put the country address on the dublin job, or you put both addresses on the covering letter with one designated as a "temporary address" ? none of which should make no great difference to whether you get a call for an interview or not.

OP is dyslexic. Although no-one was expected to know that. I've deleted the posts making fun of the writing. Please don't post on the topic of the spelling again.

Do you think they won't consider you as you don't seem to live in the area? People can and do move for jobs, so I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah thats exactly what i mean like my current job does not really pay very well this job does and well id really be very happy to get a call for an interveiw i have all the relitive skills and work in a similer back ground. I'd hate to loose a chance like this over amiss understanding with an adress.
    If that makes sence.:)

A lot of people seem to use their home addresses as their permanent/ official address.

IMO only info relevant on a CV is the education and previous work experience, and frequently the education isn't that important if the work experience is good.

I'm currently interviewing people for a position in my department, and none of the CVs I've received from agencies have addresses on them, it's not the norm these days. Anyone interviewing in our company is not permitted to ask where the candidate lives or where they travelled from to the interview. This is to ensure that there's no discrimination against someone who would have to travel up from Mullingar to Dublin every day as opposed to someone who lives 15 minutes walk away.

is that the same in every place???

Thats so you can't you can't contact the clients without going through the agency. They've always done that.

Isn't that a bit daft ? If you work in Dublin and the candidate lives in Cork surely that has an direct impact on his ability to get to work on time each day and his/ her likelihood of staying in the position for more than a week? #

Apologies to OP for all spelling related comments.
