I've recently finished my degree but as I'm finding it extremely difficult to find any work I applied too claim back my 'stamp', sorry not to familiar with the whole process/terminology.
But just wondering if any body would know if I will get back dated the payments from now until the time I actually get paid...like hearing it maybe 6 weeks before I get anything and it's a case of loans having to be paid back and just worried if it's gonna be a case of sprialling into debt if I start using credit cards to pay these off.

You can go to your local relieving officer who will asses you outgoings etc
they will cover you in the meantime while you wait on the Social Welfare.

You must provide them bank statements , proof of outgoings (Loans, Rent etc) then they usually can pay you within a week or so

As regards to back dating as the last poster said you can only apply and hope , i got it but a friend of mine didnt

They only backdate the benefit/allowance to the day you apply - not to the day you were out of work.

If you apply today and not have your valid claim processed until X date, you will get backpay until today. In the meantime, if you are stuck for finances, you can apply for supplementary allowance from your local CWO which is means-tested.

I hope you did not graduate in English! (spelling & grammar issues in your post) :D
