learning an instrument!!

    basically i got it in my head i woiuld like to be able to play the violin, and im askin how hard it is i guess also cost etc any info helpful!!

    I'd say it's about 17 hard.

    Probably pick up a cheap violin to start with for 200-400 euros. Look on Thomann.de. I think you probably wouldn't want to spend much less than that, but I'm not a violin expert by any means.

    IMO any instrument is hard to learn to play properly. However if you like the instrument and are determined to put in the time and practice then you should be fine. Unfortunately there are no shortcuts in learning an instrument. Sorry if this was not what you wanted to hear. :)

    I think it might be down to an overall lack of musical training and experience, and/or a failure to recognise that subtle difference between "in time" and "out of time". :pac:

    No way... when I play the tamborine I just pick it up and lash the crap out of it. I know I'm good because all the other musicians stop to listen to me and look astonished :pac:

    I think thats the way it's mostly played :D ..... mainly due to lack of what Eoin Madsen mentions above. :rolleyes:
