After being a red head for a while, I am missing my blonde so Ive decided to go back. A few weeks ago I was in town and I saw a girl with lovely bright blonde hair, but when she moved there was a very very light purple shine off it. The purple was not visible all the time, only when she turned her head a certain way.

It was so pretty but I think Ive only ever seen this once before in pink maybe?

Has anybody ever seen this before, because I want, I want, I want.. .

That effect usually happens by accident! The way she probably achieved it was by bleaching her hair, then putting a toner over it, such as directions toner, the toner is a lilac colour and if its left on for long enough leaves that purple sheen in the blonde hair.

Could it be the effect of a UV dye? I've just ordered a bright pink hair dye that glow under uv/black light. Just a guess.

Thought I posted a reply here already... anyway, I'd say the girl you seen just went a bit overboard on the colour toner. It happened to me a couple of times, for some reason the colour toning shampoo seemed to take more to my fringe and it ended up slightly blue/purple a couple of times.
