lamping foxes

    combine is out cutting from last friday was in a stubble field sunday morning watched 100 s of pigeon feeding on it rang my lamping buddy fri nite for fox ok yes good stuff .then rang me shooting buddy no crop so simple we will not shoot it not going to bent the rules .but today it was shot, pigeon mag by two going . no crop near them not happy over it ,all i can say is he should have know better as he holds a high post in a major hunting body

    If there was a standing crop being attacked in adjacent fields I cannot see why you couldn't set up in stubble field and decoy them in from the attack on the standing crop. You would be shooting pigeons attacking a crop, doing damage, plus you will do a lot less damage to the crop, collecting dead pigeons in a stubble field rather than searching a standing crop.

    The law says that you can shoot pigeons causing damage and that's exactly what you would be doing.

    hi guys

    there was a post on here not so long ago -cant find it just now about someone who had is gun removed by ranger + Garda for decoying in the next field from a crop that was being damaged. I am not saying this is correct just say cover yourself call the ranger up front.
