Serato Scratch Live VS2 vers Stanton Final Scratch 2, Is there anyone out there that has used both these with decks? I have FS2 but am considering shifting it and replacing it with Serato Scratch as I have issues with Firewire on my prime system I use for Djing (OODJ). The Serato Scratch is USB based. Would like opinions on Serato Scratch Live, ie ease of use, set up etc. Dose it use Trackor? Cheers

ill put it this way i dont know a whole pile about them but serato is industry standard for a reason!! also fs is a lot cheaper. in my opinion you get wat you pay for

Its a pity any of them couldn't make their hardware rack mountable, its just another additional lump to be carrying around and setting up each time. It would be nice to have it a 19" I also hate units that don't have their own built in power supply. THe Stanton has a particularly dated and oversized 9 volt dc wall wart,

All the same here! Although i v e never used FS, i have SSL, was running it with a 4-5 Y old laptop untill i bought a new one a couple of month back and never bugged at all. Main problem with FS is apparently the amount of resources it s demanding. SSL is a lot more stable and less demanding on resources. Just note that you can not record your sets. You need another PC to do so.

New final scratch is awesome, serato can be quite buggy, watched it fail midst dj competition when a mate was playing, I used to prefer serato but now have been drawn more to final scratch of late.....
