AVI files to a dvd compilation?

    Hello,
I have 4 .avi files that I would like to put onto a dvd. I have put these onto dvd already and can view them, but wanted to have easier access to each individually[ie, calling them up rather than having to skip through each one to get to the next, etc.]and a menu as well.

I have done a bit of 'my' homework with this, but am unable to find a software that will do this, without converting the avi's to dvd format.

Is there any available software that will leave the .avi files as they are and allow me to create relative and useful menus to access those .avi files which would then be on a dvd.

    Many thanks in advance.

I hope this is not too innocent to ask :)
