Sardinia - Any tips?

We're heading to Sardinia next week for nine days, 3 days in Baia Sardinia on the Costa Esmeralda and 6 days in Alghero. Has anyone any advice/tips on things to see and do? Also does anyone know where we might be able to catch some gaa in Alghero?
