If going on a big night out or special occasion I'll often go to the hairdressers who put lovely curls in my hair through drying with a round brush or putting a series of round brushes on my head and blow drying on a high heat. I'd like to achieve this effect at home but don't want to end up like one of those itinerant Irish dancers with ringlets either. Just nice soft curls which will, with a bit of hairspray, last all night. What's the best thing? Heated rollers or a curling tongs? I find the GHD a bit difficult for this and I don't have the patience to blowdry with a round brush so any other ideas? Thanks a mill:)

Babyliss heated rollers.. they're the business, they sell them in boots for around 50e, you only need to leave them in for about 15 minutes, it takes a bit of experimenting to get exactly the look you want, you mightnt need to use all of them... you get 20 in the set, 8 large, 6 medium and 6 small. well worth the buy, quick and easy, ive used thongs and a curlers, they tend to give more ringlets and it takes forever to do all my hair

Oh brill, thanks so much, they sounds just the jobby. Do you mousse your hair before using them and do you use them on slightly damp (I don't want to electrocute myself:eek:) or completely dry hair? Thanks a mill:)

I spray V05 curling spray stuff on my hair first, you could try the mouse, it really need experimenting to get it right for your own hair... how long you leave them in, sizes of curlers ect, you wont electrocute yourself if you put them with slightly damp hair, they're arent wires connected to the actual rollers, they are heated in a box thing and cool down while in your hair.
