I am thinking about new present for myself. So, what display callibration tool would you recommend?
    Spyder3Elite (€175 excl. VAT)
    or
Pantone Huey display colour calibration kit (€99.00 incl. VAT) - hot favorite...

    Any suggestions, please?

I have the spyder2 and it's very good, it may cost you half of the spyder3

On the lookout for something myself but the Spyder3 is very expensive, although nothing seems to be getting reviews quite as good as it....

Theres the spyder 3 pro , does the same job and its cheaper than the "elite".

I bought an Eye One Display 2 last year and it's great. It's about the same price as the Spyder you mention. Huey has fairly mixed reviews. It supposedly does an ok job, but there's no control over the calibration process, and in the reviews I saw when I was buying a year and a half ago, it's aimed more towards gamers out of the box, and takes some guesswork as to what to go for photgraphically, which is not what you should have to do.

Have a look at Colour Confidence. They have good prices, and just about any profiling solution you want. They also regularly do free shipping at the end of the month, which results in decent savings.

I have the Spyder3 and find it brilliant. Gives me much more realistic colours on screen. I can also calibrate my work PC with my home PC and know I'm seeing the same colours.

Thanks, everybody. I do appreciate your time and comments.
Find some school, pay for it and spend the rest on callibration tool to do some processing, eventually...

Well, I have borrowed Spyder 2, however my display has red lines across the black ones. It looks awful. But it has been callibrated.
Does it mean that I need different display? Possibly new one? :-(

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card, and also the latest drivers for your monitor.

    Then try again.

Either that, or you need a new monitor.

    So monitor it is. Damned...
How shall I save for DSLR when I have to spend so much money on PC, Display, books...
If it goes on and on, there'll be 5D Mk.II on sale before I have the money for it :-/
