Some previous posts have made reference to some of the weird and wonderful things you can see on Sillogue. Yesterday evening around 6.30 there was a cow grazing just off the 9th green!!

What are the rules on balls landing in cow S**t? Free drop or play it as it lies? That could get messy:(

I played there today (was in superb condition) and I seen a cow wandering up the 10th fairway. Very funny until I realised what damaged it would do to a green just by walking on it.

Not really linked, just the same company which manages it.

It is cheap, 14 euro or so a round midweek. For that money it isn't bad at all. Some decent holes on it. Still, the best thing about is the price.

It's in great condition. The greens are better than most private coarses I've played on. It's 27 Euro at the weekend but I'm not sure how much during the week. Its certainly the best pay and play around, Elm green included.
A few of my mates are members in Elm green and they think its much better in Silloge. Some of the holes are long, the 5th is a 550yrds par 5 and is an animal if the wind is against. It's defo worth a trip.

Cheers boys, think I'll play it on a day off during the week.

it's a good course, better than elmgreen certainly. Personally I would put it a fair bit behind Hollystown and Grange Castle in terms of the pay and play courses, but it is good enough, especially for the price.
