    whats the normal idle speed on a punto mk2 when starting cold. when i start it cold it does 1200 rev his and starts to drop straight away. is this normal.

    OP, my Mazda (when cold) idles at 1500 rpm, and then drops to a steady 700 rpm when its warmed up. All petrol engines do it afaik.

    Diesels usually don't
