was there for mid term last year in Oct/Nov

not much to see there, we went to Vienna on the train for a day trip well worth doing,

Also went to the castle and to be honest there is not a hugh amount to see. some nice pubs and lovely restaurants very relaxing over there :)

We were there for a four days two years ago. As the previous poster said there's not a whole lot to do there but I really liked it. It's got a small little old town and it's the kinda place were you just chill out and have a few drinks.

It's only half an hour on the train to Vienna. There's loads to do there culturally but I wasn't pushed on it as a whole.

Agree with suggestions regarding the old town, lovely restaurants and bars to chill but nothing else in the city!

Is Bratislava a safe city? I read elsewhere that it can be quite dangerous and that even the policemen might be con men. Is it true?

I've been interrailing around Europe a lot and to be honest I didn't feel threatened in Bratislava at all.

There's not a huge amount to do there but what else do you want other than a few pints? ;)

I was there before and felt very intimidated by police or security men, was also conned by a taxi driver, to be honest i'd never go back there
